Can I put my name on a waitlist for an earlier appointment?
Yes, you will have the option to add your name to a waitlist however, we recommend that you start with booking the first available appointment that works with your schedule and then wait to move up if possible. Our booking manager will contact you directly if an earlier appointment becomes available.
Do you shoot digital or film?
We shoot digital.
When do I receive my photos?
Typically, within 5-7 business days from the date of your session, you will receive an online gallery containing color-corrected images measuring 800 x 1200 pixels, ready for easy sharing, downloading, and collaborating.
The initial images are unretouched so we suggest that you limit the size usage. For social media posts, personal websites, and press, we recommend high-resolution retouched photos. The price is $45 per image and takes approximately 1 week to complete with Dana overseeing the entire process.
Dana owns the raw files and they are not released without retouching. We are very strict on this policy. Dana's photos are awesome because of the time, energy, and passion she puts into each shoot. We do not want a potentially amazing photo to go south because it fell apart at the end during the retouching process. Please feel free to reach out with any further questions.
Do I need to book hair and makeup? Can I bring my own artist?
Hair and makeup services are automatically booked & and billed separately for every headshot session at our studio. The artists working with us are highly skilled and have decades of industry experience working with all hair textures, skin types, colors, and genders. Dana works in close collaboration with them so their services are not optional at our studio.
Our long-standing relationships with top hair and makeup professionals are critical to maintaining our consistently high standards therefore, we do not work with outside artists. Rest assured, we will always make sure you are comfortable and happy with the makeup and hair styling before shooting each look.
I need wardrobe help, do we need to meet before the shoot?
The styling process is collaborative, organic, and tailored to each person. The magic happens while in the studio together with Dana & and your makeup artist so it is not necessary to meet in advance. We do offer advance wardrobe guidance and prep instructions which you will receive once your appointment is confirmed and would be happy to briefly discuss general questions you may have about the process.
Can I bring my own music?
Yes, of course you can bring music-whatever puts you in the mood. We also have a selection of music at the studio.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, you can pay your outstanding balance by credit card or Venmo. Your initial booking deposit can be paid by PayPal or Venmo.
